Key Objectives
Grow National SEO Visibility
Improve Website UX
Increase Lead Generation
Highlight #1 Volume Status
The Project Background
Window Film Depot (WFD) is America’s number one volume commercial window film installer, headquartered in Atlanta. They are not only the nation’s leading 3M Window Film dealer for product sales and installation, but carry a vast inventory of other product solutions for window and glass treatments.
WFD needed a new website to improve its organic search visibility and lead acquisition funnel. By applying our Search First® methodology, Captivate leveraged keyword data, search trends, and user behavior modeling to build WFD a beautiful, SEO-friendly website. With the site, WFD would actualize its digital marketing objectives and increase their bottom line.
The Project Challenge
WFD needed a full-blown website and SEO revamp. To start, we planned to redesign the brand’s website to enhance usability, SEO performance, and conversions. Then, we executed an ongoing content strategy to support SEO, social media marketing, and brand positioning.
To put it another way, we wanted to access WFD’s wide market. Our team sought to improve organic search visibility and traffic across over 40 different product categories, six market segments, and 130 cities in all 50 states. By the campaign’s end, WFD needed to be positioned as a nationally-recognized dealer and installer for 3M™ Window Films — as well as specialized products like DefenseLite™, BulletShield™, and other brands.
Key Issues
Outdated Website UX
Diverse Product Offerings
No Cohesive Content Strategy
No Analytics Goal Tagging
The ROI Focused Solution
Captivate created a holistic digital strategy for Window Film Depot. It was built upon a foundation of keyword research, trend analysis, competitive review, and search exploration.
We developed a UI and UX framework focused on key conversion goals, user engagement, and content optimization, and then organized an SEO-friendly sitemap, targeting each product category and market segment.
Then, our creative team produced two blogs per month. These high-quality posts earned organic backlinks, positioning WFD as a thought leader in its field. Moreover, we conducted ongoing outreach to build relationships with prominent publishers, influencers, and market leaders who could help amplify WFD’s brand.
This combination of technical innovation and creative services Captivate’s specialty. We make the perfect cocktail for successful digital marketing campaigns.
The Results
After launching their new site on January 16, 2019, WFD realized Y/Y performances across the board. These results compare statistics from 2018 to 2019. Still today, Captivate continues to grow WFD’s website with SEO content marketing and technical maintenance.
