Captivate Earns 2020 AMY Award for SEO

By: Chris Everett July 16, 2020

On June 25th, Captivate was named Atlanta Marketer of the Year (AMY) for the SEO category. The award was earned based on Captivate’s successful SEO campaign for Window Film Depot, a local Atlanta company that has expanded its national web presence with the help of Captivate’s Search First® Approach.

The third time was most certainly the charm for Captivate, as it was the company’s third year in a row making it as finalists in the American Marketing Association (AMA) Atlanta Chapter. Up against local rivals Swarm Agency and Nebo Agency, Captivate proved that a small search marketing firm could outperform the work of much larger agencies.

As the 63rd anniversary of the AMY awards, 2020 was a much different ceremony than years past. The original March 23 date was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, resulting in the AMA Atlanta chapter to host a virtual, live-stream event. Despite a digital ceremony platform, the AMA executed a fantastic event that showcased some of Atlanta’s most talented professionals in the local marketing scene.

Thirteen total AMY Awards Red Pencils were given this year across categories ranging from email and social media marketing to non-profit and SEO campaigns. In a campaign titled “Captivate Expands Window Film Depot’s National Web Presence Using its Search First® Approach,” the team methodically articulated its proven processes with compelling growth metrics that speak for themselves.

Amidst a redesign for Window Film Depot, Captivate applied its Search First® methodology in leveraging keyword data, search trends, and user behavior modeling to build an SEO-friendly website that would help its client actualize its digital marketing objectives. Not only did cumulative organic search traffic increase by 50.9% Y/Y, but the strongest growth was achieved in Q4 when the site experienced a 162.3% jump in traffic.

As Captivate strives to be a top SEO company in Atlanta, the 2020 AMY Award for SEO was a high testament to the team’s strategic capabilities and authenticity. Not only does Captivate take pride in its result-oriented, Search First® approach, but the company’s work is deeply rooted in integrity, honesty, and transparency.

Captivate relishes the acclamation from the AMA Atlanta Chapter and looks forward to the 2021 AMY Awards next year.
